One piece or movement of the contestant’s choice. Performances exceeding the time limit will be stopped.
Instrument Categories
Solo: Piano, Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Voice, Traditional Folk Instruments
Ensemble: Duos, String Quartet, Piano Trios, Choirs, etc.
Final Round Rules
Memorization is mandatory.
Live accompaniment is required (may be arranged through the organizers).
Judges’ decisions are final.
🏆 Awards and Prizes
Contestants in each group are ranked based on their average total score. Those who meet the award standards will be recognized according to their ranking.
Note: Contestants who have already received Champion, 1st Runner-up, or 2nd Runner-up titles will not receive additional Gold, Silver, or Bronze certificates.
🥇 Championship Awards
The top three contestants in each group will receive a medal and certificate, and their teacher (one per contestant) will also receive a certificate.
Champion (1st Place): Score of 88 or higher (otherwise vacant)
1st Runner-up (2nd Place): Score of 85 or higher (otherwise vacant)
2nd Runner-up (3rd Place): Score of 83 or higher (otherwise vacant)
🥇🥈🥉 Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards
Each winner receives a medal and certificate, and their teacher receives a certificate.
Gold Award: 86+
Silver Award: 83+
Bronze Award: 80+
Gold Sound Award: 75+
Note: Contestants are eligible for only one award (highest achieved).
🌟 Special Recognition
Contestants unanimously recognized by the judges for outstanding performance will receive an Honorary Invitation to perform a complete work at the Winners’ Concert.

IEMC Registration:
We will assist with the Hamburg registration, but we are not responsible for travel, accommodation, or any incidents during the trip.

Contestants who receive a Gold or Silver Award in the EUIMC 2026 are eligible to participate in the music competition in Hamburg.
